Board of Ed to vote in March on changes in vocational ed
All Educators Interested in Vocational/Technical Education:
Proposed Chapter 74 Regulations
The Department of Education has proposed new regulations concerning Vocational/Technical Education. These proposed regulations will significantly change:
- Vocational/Technical Educator Licensing (currently called Approval)
- Vocational/Technical School and Program Approval
- Vocational/Technical School and Program Accountability
At the invitation of MTA president Catherine Boudreau, MTA's Occupational/Vocational Education Committee is hosting two informational forums about these proposals to give MTA members the opportunity to let MTA know about their concerns and to listen to their input about these proposals.
MTA will be submitting written comments concerning these proposals and member input at these forums will inform those comments.
The forums will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
