Register now for Summer Conference

You'll find quality professional issues workshops that connect education reform initiatives and classroom practice. New tracks and single-session workshops on all aspects of organizational and leadership development are being offered.

The Summer Conference would not be complete without its variety of social and cultural experiences, including movies, parties and dances. Sports facilities are available on campus or nearby -- for tennis, swimming, pingpong, softball, volleyball, jogging and walking, golf, bicycling and other activities. In the summertime, theatrical and musical performances abound in the Berkshires, and the shopping and antiquing are excellent.

Final registration deadline is Friday, June 13.

Who Should Attend?

If you are an MTA member, you are eligible and warmly encouraged to attend the Summer Conference, where you will find many high-quality workshops. Members seeking to enhance their knowledge of content areas or classroom techniques will be delighted with the abundance of programs on these subjects.

New or seasoned local leaders will find essential workshops to prepare them for their roles or to hone their skills in organizational leadership.

We extend an invitation for nonmembers to attend as well.

Some members will come to the MTA Summer Conference on their own – that is, they’ll register and pay using their own funds. Others may be sent by their local associations and receive full or partial subsidies from their locals. They may also be the recipients of MTA grants that provide full support for those who qualify. Still others may receive full or partial support from their school districts – especially those who are coming for the CEU/PDP/PTP offerings.
