The House of Representatives approved a bill June 24 to provide the City of Springfield with a $52 million interest-free loan and establish a five-member control board. The bill does not contain any of the anti-collective bargaining provisions contained in Governor Romney's proposal.
The bill is expected to go to the Senate during the week of June 28.
Many thanks to all of you who stood by our Springfield members -- and stood up for the principles of fairness and due process for public employees throughout the state.
