Liz Soeiro, Red Sox MVP

Cambridgeport School librarian Liz Phipps Soeiro, with Red Sox mascot, Wally, was recognized as an MTA Red Sox Most Valuable Educator on a recent Saturday. Soeiro puts a heavy emphasis on community — welcoming families, elected officials, community organizers and others into her library.

The MTA Red Sox Most Valuable Educator Program provides the opportunity to recognize all-star educators — and win yourself free tickets to Fenway Park.

You can nominate someone for recognition by writing a 400-word essay on the person’s contribution to the community. Winning educators are recognized on the field during Saturday home games. If your nominee is selected you also receive a pair of tickets to the game.

To nominate a public school educator, another school worker or a volunteer to be an MTA Red Sox Most Valuable Educator, send an essay of up to 400 words to Most Valuable Educator, c/o Red Sox Community Relations, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston MA 02215.
