RCC faculty rally for benefits for part-time colleagues

Adjunct faculty and their supporters demonstrated at Roxbury Community College on Oct. 18 to support parity for part-timers.

The Legislature is currently considering two bills -- SB 1535 and HB 189 -- that would grant health insurance and retirement benefits to part-time faculty.

At RCC, adjuncts have filed a grievance to recover full pay for teaching last semester, when they got a forced pay cut for teaching under-enrolled classes.
