Higher ed contracts pass in Senate
With a vote of the Massachusetts Senate on Dec. 15, the Legislature has approved funding for the contracts for the Massachusetts Community College Council and Massachusetts State College Association.
The House voted its approval on Dec. 8.
The MCCC contract, worth approximately $6.7 million, covers 2003 to 2006.
The MSCA contract, worth about $5.7 million, covers 2004 to 2007. It was ratified in April.
The appropriations bill now goes to the desk of Gov. Mitt Romney for his signature.
"Since the governor submitted the contracts to the Legislature, there should not be an issue with him signing them," said MTA Governmental Services Director Joanne Blum.
