COLA Lobby Days a success

More than 80 MTA retired members visited the office of their state legislators on February 12, when they participated in the MTA Retired Lobby Day to raise the COLA. Volunteer lobbyists came to the Statehouse and gathered at an informational session prior to lobbying.

MTA Vice President Paul Toner addressed the lobbyists. They were joined by Sen. Richard Moore (D) and Rep. Frank Hynes (D), lead sponsors of S2234.

As of Wednesday morning, nearly 1,000 e-mails have also been sent to legislators from MTA members across the state.
