This workshop will explore the current trends in special education including changes in the types of disabilities, and the extremely valuable role paraprofessionals play in the implementation of Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). Further, we will discuss the paraprofessional’s role with parents, teachers, and administrators. There will be ample time to brainstorm various situations that arise in the day in the life of a paraprofessional.
