MTA members to participate in Occupy Boston

A growing number of labor organizations and students are participating in events with Occupy Boston in Dewey Square (across from South Station). We will keep you informed about events we learn about that involve MTA members and/or other labor organizations. The following are coming on Monday, October 10:

• Students from area colleges along with MTA members from the Cambridge Teachers Association and UMass Boston are planning to meet at the Park Street T Station at 1:30 p.m. to march down to Dewey Square.
• 1199SEIU Massachusetts members are planning to rally “for jobs and a just economy” in Dewey Square at 3 p.m. that day.
