Distance and online learning and technology in the classroom are very much in the news and on the minds of MTA members.
Here are several articles from the last few days:
As educators, we need to acknowledge the value these tools and techniques bring to our practice and to ensure that our voices are heard when it comes to setting policy around educational quality and professional and fiscal support for distance and online learning programs.
The MTA Distance and Online Learning Task Force was created by the Board of Directors to ensure that MTA members are heard in the discussion and will play a leadership role in setting policy. As a first step, the task force is sponsoring a survey. All members are invited to participate and encouraged to add their names to a list to participate in follow-up studies, focus groups and other task force activities.
Please complete the survey today.
