ED Talks: Big Ideas About Education

ED Talks: Big Ideas About Education - Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the MTA Summer Conference

We are looking for seven speakers to offer up their ideas about education and community for our upcoming MTA Summer Conference event, ED Talks: Big Ideas About Education. Based on the TED Talks model, each speaker will be given nine minutes to present "ideas worth sharing." 

The event is scheduled on Wednesday, August 8 at the MTA Annual Summer Conference at Williams College in Williamstown. The audience will be composed of MTA educators, faculty and staff who work in Massachusetts public schools, colleges, state universities and UMass. No sales pitches please.

Deadline for proposals is Friday, July 13. We will notify selected applicants by Tuesday, July 17. Chosen speakers will rehearse in the afternoon on Wednesday, August 8 and present between 7:30 and 9 p.m. on the same day.
