EMAC hosting March forums on race, ethnicity and public education

MTA’s Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee invites all MTA members to participate in forums during March on “Race, Ethnicity and Public Education: Continuing the Conversation.”

The forums will delve into questions of importance to all educators and include:

  • What are the strategies educators can use to begin conversations in their schools and communities?
  • What should the MTA do as an association to broaden understanding about race and ethnicity?
  • How can MTA members make classrooms and school communities that are safe spaces for all students and their families?

The EMAC Rap at the 2016 Summer Conference initiated dialogue on these issues, and the December 2016 EMAC Conference deepened the conversation.

Please choose the forum that works best for you:
