Emerging Leaders: Organizing Apprentice Program
||EMERGING LEADERS: THE ORGANIZING APPRENTICE|
Emerging Leaders (Workshop #1 in the Summer Conference Guide) is designed to bring the future leaders of our union together and teach them how to organize and lead. In competing teams, participants will develop and implement plans to generate interest around an issue of their choosing. The competition will begin with an orientation and the development of organizing skills and will conclude with a presentation to a star-studded panel. At the end of the week, one team will be declared the 2014 Organizing Apprentice Winner and given the opportunity to work with future Emerging Leaders. Don’t worry, this program is about stoking the fire within, not firing someone!
