ESP Conference
Designed for Education Support Professionals, this annual April conference offers professional development, networking, and fun too. It’s a unique opportunity for ESPs to explore their roles in public education, connect with colleagues, and engage with their workplaces and unions. The conference welcomes both Higher Ed and preK–12 ESPs, along with their allies.
Retired Speakers Series
The Retired Members Committee hosts a monthly speaker series on the first Wednesday of each month. These workshops offer a chance to explore important issues, gain new skills, connect with colleagues, advocate for students and schools, and hear directly from MTA leaders.
Summer Conference
The Summer Conference will be held from Sunday, July 26 to Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Join us for a wide range of workshops designed to inspire, educate, and connect. Sessions cover topics such as Anti-Oppression Education, Professional and Career Development, Union Skills and Leadership, and Community Schools. Whether you want to build your skills, expand your knowledge, or strengthen your network, there’s something for every educator.
Union Skills Winter Conference
This annual event features a wide range of workshops focused on the core activities of local unions. Locals are strongly encouraged to bring groups of members to participate in training sessions tailored to different roles and interests. The conference is also a great opportunity for new activists to join an energizing statewide event while building essential union skills. Workshops cover topics such as membership, negotiations, Solidarity School and political education, organizing, and union rights and advocacy.
