Delegates to MTA Annual Meeting and NEA Representative Assembly

MTA affiliates elect local delegates to the MTA Annual Meeting and NEA RA.

Deadline for retired delegates is 5 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2027.
Deadline for active delegates is 5 p.m. on Feb. 5, 2027.

Massachusetts is also represented by statewide regional and retired delegates to NEA RA.

Nomination Papers can be requested as of July 1, 2026. The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on March 5, 2027.

NEA Offices for MTA

• Two NEA Director seats and up to five Alternate Directors, representing the active membership.

Nomination papers can be requested as of July 1, 2026. The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on January 8, 2027.

Retired Members Committee

Nominations are now open for the four seats on the Retired Members Committee.

The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on March 5, 2027.

Nominations are now open for the election of members to serve on the Candidate Recommendation Committee members representing Congressional Districts 3, 6, 7, 8, and 9. 

The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m., December 30, 2026.

Proposed revisions to MTA Bylaws and Standing Rules are now being accepted.

Bylaws: Deadline is 5 p.m. on January 8, 2027.
