Learn With the MTA and Earn PDPs

The MTA offers free professional development for members to earn up to 15 PDPs toward license renewal. These member-designed workshops cover different areas, including special education and English learners.

Professional development courses are free to MTA members and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrants can only participate in one program offering during the spring session.

Currently, courses are offered in the following areas:

  • Curriculum & Instruction
  • English Language Arts/Literacy
  • English Language Learners
  • English Language Learners or Special Education
  • Leadership/Administration
  • Safe & Supportive Schools
  • Science and Technology/Engineering
  • Special Education

There are still openings for a few spring courses for English Language Learners, Special Education and Curriculum & Instruction.

These courses are online and asynchronous.

New courses are announced seasonally on this page, our weekly newsletter, the Union News, and by email to MTA members.
