Advocating for Change

Across Massachusetts, Fighting Together for Public Education’s Future
We’re committed to dismantling unjust systems, fully funding public schools, and holding elected leaders accountable. Join us and take action to create positive change in our communities.
Ready to help us improve working conditions, secure school funding, and advance social and racial justice for all? Here’s how you can get involved.

Action Center

We are fighting for the public schools and colleges our communities deserve and standing up for students’ rights and opportunities. Together, our voices make change possible. Help make it happen.

Protecting Public Education

Educators and parents know that Massachusetts students need more opportunities to succeed, and we need to strengthen our public schools where 90% of students learn.

Fighting Oppression

The MTA brings together anti-oppression initiatives to help members learn, reflect and take action. Access committees, resources and statewide programs to connect, build collective power and work toward equity in schools, campuses, unions and communities.
Deb Mccarthy, MTA Vice President
Rather than members asking what the union can do for them, our members understand that they are the union.

Our Voice = Our Power

When we unite and speak truth to power, we can have an enormous impact. That’s why our members join together to create a future where schools are funded, educators are supported, and students are thriving.
