MTA Reporter

The voice of MTA Retired Members

Latest issue summary:

Retired Fighters: Wisdom Warriors Turn Experience Into Activism

Throughout the state, MTA Retired members are continuing to advocate for essential education and labor issues long after they left full-time employment. Through the Wisdom Warriors, activists are standing up for immigrant rights, supporting active members in contract fights and sharing their knowledge with fellow MTA members. The cover story in the December issue of the Reporter looks at some of the reasons why members stay involved.

Also in this issue, retired Springfield teacher Marguerite Foster Franklin writes about her experiences as a new educator.
